The history of this cave is really what really makes it interesting, it's fairly accessible which it makes it easy to get to.

The mouth is 20 feet wide and 5 feet high. The cave trends southwestward for 450 feet along joints that strike S. 400 W. and west. It is 5 to 30 feet high and 1.5 to 8 feet wide. One side passage, 75 feet in length, was noted. A few dripstone formations are present, and the cave is damp and muddy in the back.

The main passage is finally blocked by a rockslide. In 1951 three youths discovered three medallions in this rock pile. One of these medallions depicts John Calvin, and another was apparently struck to celebrate a marriage. The medallions seem to be of considerable age, and their occurrence in the cave is not readily explained.

Recommended if in the area and not much else to do.
