The Halliburton Wreck sits just off the North coast of Honduras off the island of Utila, in about 100 feet of water.  A fun wreck dive, sitting at 100 feet in water with 60+ feet of visibility, it is sure to be a fun day of wreck diving.

You can get there via airplane from the mainland to the island of Utila or from Ceiba by ferry.  Any one of the dive companies on Utila can take you there.  After jumping off the boat, you are dropped into an ocean of eternal blue, with such great visibility, it almost gives the impression of floating in free space.   Quite a spectacular feeling.  Descending down to the wreck, you begin to see it's outline at around 50 feet.  The Halliburton was a cargo vessel at 65 feet in length that rests at a slight angle at 100 feet on sand. About all you can do swim through the cargo hold, around the hull and the wheelhouse and doesn't offer much in the way of confined spaces, so this is ideal for beginning wreck dives.  With such a variety of marine life, it makes for an outstanding dive site.  Definitely recommended.
